How to Redeem Collect Cars and Race Codes

Collect Cars and Race hides its promo box inside the Shop, not on a separate Codes button. If you joined the right Roblox experience — Car Race by push to start, place 11620633955 — you can redeem every active string from the Codes Hub in under a minute. If you joined Car Race Simulator, Car Dealership Tycoon, Driving Empire, or Race Clicker, stop. Those shops will never accept Update5 or FreePet.

This page is the click path. Reward math (how 1,500 Gas or a Monster Pet changes a rainbow-track launch) lives on Code Rewards. Brand-new accounts should finish this redeem pass, then walk Getting Started so the gifts are equipped before the first ramp.

Before you open Shop

1. Launch Car Race from the official place link, not from a similarly named search result.
2. Wait until the 16-player lobby finishes loading. The Shop on the left is not reliable during the join fade.
3. Stay in the lobby. You cannot type a code while a car is already in the air on the infinite stud track.
4. Keep the Codes Hub open on a second screen or phone so you copy strings instead of retyping them from memory.

Codes are case-sensitive. Update5 works; update5 and UPDATE5 usually do not. Do not add a space before or after the word.

Redeem on PC

1. Click into the lobby so the cursor is free (not locked to a driving camera).
2. Find Shop on the left side of the screen. It sits with the other lobby panels, not in the Roblox hamburger menu.
3. Open Shop and scroll down. The top of the panel is full of cars, gamepasses, and hatch offers. The code field is below that list.
4. Stop on the line labeled Enter a code….
5. Click the field, paste or type one string from the active table (start with Update5, then FreePet, GasBoost, Update4, Update3, Update2, Update1, FreeGas, Release).
6. Press Redeem.
7. Watch for a success toast. Gas lands in your Gas total; pets land in pet storage so you can hatch/equip them.
8. Repeat for the next string. Do not paste two codes into one field.

If Shop refuses to scroll on a small window, fullscreen Roblox or drag the window taller. The code row is easy to miss when the panel is clipped.

Redeem on mobile and tablet

1. Thumb the Shop control on the left. Portrait phones sometimes tuck it under the chat bar; rotate to landscape if you cannot find it.
2. Drag the Shop list up until Enter a code… is visible. Do not tap Redeem on a gamepass by accident — Auto Collect, Triple Hatch, and VIP sit in the same panel.
3. Tap the field so the on-screen keyboard opens.
4. Type the code exactly. Mobile autocorrect loves to turn FreePet into Free Pet and GasBoost into Gas Boost. Turn autocorrect off for this field or paste from Notes.
5. Tap Redeem and wait for the grant before typing the next string.
6. If the keyboard covers Redeem, collapse it and tap the button, then reopen the field.

The flow is the same on iOS and Android. There is no separate mobile-only code chest and no email redeem.

After a successful redeem

Gas from Update5, GasBoost, Update4, Update3, Update2, Update1, and FreeGas is spendable immediately on cars and extra launches. Pets from FreePet (Monster Pet) and Release (Universal Varan Pet) must still be equipped. Open the pet board, place them on active slots, then buy or swap a car. A code pet sitting in storage does not help the ramp.

Troubleshooting invalid, expired, and already-claimed codes

Invalid code. Almost always a typo, an extra space, or the wrong experience. Re-copy from the Codes Hub table. Confirm the group name push to start on the Roblox page. Confirm you did not capitalize randomly: numbered update codes use a capital U and no space (Update5, not Update 5).

Expired code. Numbered strings can retire after a later patch. If Update1 fails while Update5 still grants, the old row is gone. Refresh the hub instead of retrying the dead string.

Already redeemed. Each code is once per account. A success on another device means this one will keep erroring. There is no second grant.

Nothing happens when you press Redeem. The 16-player server may be hitching. Leave, rejoin, and try one code. Do not mash Redeem; duplicate clicks can look like failures when the first click already consumed the string.

Shop has no Enter a code… row. You are in the wrong car game, or the UI is still loading. Wait ten seconds, reopen Shop, scroll to the bottom. If the row is still missing, you are not in Collect Cars and Race.

Keyboard inserts a space on mobile. Delete it. Codes have no spaces.

You redeemed Gas but the total did not jump. Look at the HUD again after closing Shop. Some grants paint only after the panel closes. If the number is still unchanged, you redeemed a pet code (FreePet / Release) rather than a Gas code.

New players who finish this checklist should jump straight into Getting Started and spend the Gas on a car that matches the pets they just equipped. Returning players can dump the extra Gas into another launch and check Updates for the next numbered string. Bookmark the redeem path: Shop, left side, scroll, Enter a code…, Redeem — that order never changes even when the reward table does.
